As President and Chief Executive Officer of Clinical Research Laboratories, Inc., Dr. Kanengiser provides our clients with a high degree of professionalism, experience, and integrity and is guided by a deep commitment to quality.
Prior to co-founding Clinical Research Laboratories, Inc., Dr. Kanengiser performed clinical research in the area of ophthalmic safety and was a principal investigator on many studies for the drug and cosmetic industries. Dr. Kanengiser is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, who, in addition to his role at Clinical Research Laboratories, Inc., maintains an active Ophthalmology practice. At Clinical Research Laboratories, Inc., Dr. Kanengiser directs independent investigational research projects and human ophthalmic clinical studies, assessing the ocular safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and consumer products. He has designed and implemented new methodologies and techniques for assessing the effects of test materials on human ocular tissues. These protocol designs offer a more sophisticated and detailed evaluation of the safety of cosmetics and consumer products than previously allowed by less comprehensive methods. For many classes of test materials informative results can be obtained in a shorter period of time than with other protocols currently used to assess ocular safety and efficacy.
Dr. Kanengiser graduated from New York University School of Medicine and completed his internship in Internal Medicine as well as his residency in Ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center, where he has held a teaching position for many years. He acts as a consultant in Medical/Legal affairs and has published numerous scientific papers in basic and applied clinical research. Dr. Kanengiser is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is affiliated with New York University Medical Center. He is an active member in many professional societies, including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
